Sandpoint ID Restaurants

March 30, 2009

Some of the best Sandpoint restaurants are also the most easily reached and accessible from all the downtown hotels. Sandpoint is a walking town, after all.

Cafe Trinity, located at 116N 1st Avenue (right after the 1st stop light if you’re headed north on Hwy 95), has an amazing menu prepared by Executive Chef Eddie Sneva. Today we’ll review a few of our favorite dishes among the lunch offerings.

The corn and crawfish chowder packs just the right amount of culinary punch in terms of spiciness and is extremely satisfying as an appetizer or light lunch. The base is a spicy potato chowder, and it’s topped with sautéed crawfish, bacon, corn, garlic, trinity and scallions.

The Crab And Crawfish Cake Salad is also an incredible dish that is not to be missed.  House made crab and crawfish cakes  tossed with andouille sausage, charred corn, tomatoes, scallions served over rrganic mixed greens with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. Superb!

Finally, but certainly not least, we come to the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Sando.   “Jerk” rubbed chicken breast with caramelized pineapple, sweet fried maui onions, sweet chili aioli, and lettuce on crustless sourdough. I cannot even begin to describe how spectacularly this will tantalize your tastebuds and have you mopping your plate with ever last bit of zesty sauce.

Come experience these and other fine menu items at Cafe Trinity, 116 North 1st Avenue, Sandpoint Idaho. For more information, check out cafetrinitysandpoint.com.
